Physical Disability and Sensory Impairment Survey

Dear all,

Gloucestershire County Council is carrying out an all age Physical Disability and Sensory Impairment Needs Analysis to map need and trends for people with physical disabilities and impairments. The outcome of this will be the creation of a report which will help to inform future council policy.

We have produced a survey to find out what life is like for people with these disabilities and this is now live online. This covers topics such as access (to buildings, the outside environment and public transport), accommodation, education, employment, care and support and healthcare and health and wellbeing.

We encourage you to distribute the link to this survey to people who come into contact with your organisation who have a physical disability or sensory impairment, or amongst people/carers who support someone with these disabilities and your networks. We would appreciate it if you could publicise the link below in e-newletters and mailouts to your members.

The survey can be completed by the person with a disability, or on their behalf by a person who supports them. The survey is open until Sunday 8 May.

We can provide hard copies if necessary.

We are also holding focus groups across the county to explore people’s views and opinions further – if this is something your organisation would be interested in, please get in touch using the contact details below.

Thank you for your continued support,

Best wishes,
